In Michigan Health Market Review 2024, we showed the decrease in Medicaid enrollment for Michigan HMOs through the first quarter of 2024.  We have now added data from the second quarter of 2024, and in this brief show that enrollment in Medicaid HMOs dropped by 22% compared to June 2023. We compare revenues, expenses, profit margins and inpatient and outpatient utilization based on data from the first half of 2023, before the “Great Unwinding” and from the first half of 2024.
